Sony Guarantees Holiday Sales With Limited Edition PSOne-Style PS5 Pro Release

Sony has yet to confirm the exact prices for the bundles or the individual purchases, but the company did confirm that it will only release 12,300 units of the PlayStation 5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle. Each unit will come with etched numbers presenting the month and date of the first PlayStation console launch.

Pre-orders are available on the PlayStation Direct website. But if it isn't available in your region, you can prde-order the bundles or individual units from select retailers.

The PS5 Pro is already expensive as it is, so we can expect the limited edition bundle to drive the price even higher. At the very least, the entire bundle should cost at the very least $999.99 if not more. If you've got money to spare or you really love the PlayStation brand, you should pray that you're lucky enough to pre-order a PS5One-style PS5 Pro bundle. While you're at it, you can also get yourself a PSOne-colored PlayStation Portal, which has been a huge commercial success for Sony, by the way, even before this latest announcement.

Now if you love the PSOne colors, as we've mentioned, there should be a less expensive PS5 Digital Edition bundle that you can pre-order starting on October 26.

Given that the best games of 2024 are on the PlayStation 5, headlined by Astro Bot, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Black Myth: Wukong, gamers who hadn't snagged a PS5 yet had every bit of a reason to do so over the next couple of months in spite of the price hikes.

With these limited edition bundles and accessories, Sony is driving the FOMO levels for a new PS5 even further. Even those not lucky enough to get their hands on these highly sought after collector's items will want to buy a PS5 or a PlayStation Portal even more, further widening the already chasmic sales gap between the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
