Skull and Bones' closed beta is reportedly coming to PC only

Although it's uncertain whether the exclusion of console players indicates that the console versions are stable, a developer in the discord channel mentioned that this information would be "adjusted" as their primary focus is currently on the Ubisoft Forward event.

Regardless, considering the dissatisfaction expressed by players who participated in the previous beta phase, it is likely that console players will feel more relieved than disappointed about being excluded from the closed beta.

Nevertheless, PlayStation players will feel particularly aggrieved, especially considering the chaos that unfolded earlier this year, resulting in automatic refunds for pre-orders. While these refunds were a consequence of the game's continuous delays, they served as yet another alarming sign for a game that is supposed to be the "spiritual successor" to the beloved Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
