Say goodbye to the “boring” story and skip the Diablo 4 campaign

Players can skip the Diablo 4 campaign when creating a new character but this is only recommended for those who aren't new to the franchise.

Diablo 4 is shaping up to be everything that fans have been hoping for if not more.

It doesn’t matter what Blizzard Entertainment says, Diablo 4 is going to be a grind, and fans will love it for this quality. But, sometimes, Diablo fans are a glutton for punishment and most prefer to dive deep into dungeons without caring for the story. Blizzard knows its market too well because it’s letting players skip the Diablo 4 campaign – with a catch!

Eagle-eyed observers noticed a “Skip Campaign” button right under the “Change World Tier” option in a recent Diablo 4 video. This prompted fans to speculate that players could skip the entirety of the Diablo 4 campaign. Then, Diablo’s global community development director at Blizzard, Adam Fletcher, later confirmed this. However, you can’t just skip the Diablo 4 campaign right off the bat.

According to Fletcher, you’ll need to finish the game before this option appears on your menu.

In the Diablo 4 version of a standard “New Game Plus” mode, selecting Adventure Mode lets players create a character and forgo the campaign. This gives players the freedom to explore the open world and get right down to business. It’s a fresh and exciting way to experience Diablo 4 without the constraints of playing through the campaign. It’s perfect for players who’ve already finished playing Diablo 4 and want to focus on the grind.

This new feature should make endlessly grinding for that perfect build so much easier in Diablo 4.

So, basically, here’s what you need to do to skip the Diablo 4 campaign:

  1. Finish Diablo 4
  2. Create a new character
  3. Select “Adventure Mode” instead of “Campaign Mode” when starting the game

You’ll only need to complete Diablo 4 once before you can go on an unlimited number of “Adventure Mode” runs as you’re looking for the perfect build.

Speaking of Diablo 4, you won’t need to splurge and upgrade your mid-end PC to enjoy it at launch on June 6. Before then, you’re free to try if your PC can run Diablo 4 by taking part in the Server Slam event from May 12 to 14.
