Six Days in Fallujah has been in development for over a decade now. The game is finally launching later this month as an early access title on Valve's storefront.

The upcoming tactical shooter is based on the Second Battle of Fallujah in 2004 during the Iraq War. The inspiration for the game came from returning soldiers who wanted their experience on the battlefield turned into a video game. The story of Six Days in Fallujah is told through the perspective of American troops and the city's civilian population.

The tactical shooter will be priced at $39.99 during the early access period. It will feature four-player co-operative missions in procedurally generated urban maps. The mission area will be procedurally generated each time the player starts a mission meaning no two games will be alike. The missions are based on the experiences of US Marine fire teams during the first days of the battle.

Six Days in Fallujah is being developed by Highwire Games and will be published by Victura. According to the publisher, players will be able to play co-operatively as special operations or Iraqi soldiers fighting alongside coalition forces later on in early access.

The studio plans to release campaign missions that will recreate real stories from the Battle of Fallujah. The finished game is expected to release on both consoles and PC in 2024.
