Fans of Netflix's original animated series Arcane, based on Riot Games' popular MOBA title, League of Legends, have a reason to celebrate with the official release of the first teaser trailer for Season 2.
The much-anticipated follow-up to the award-winning animated series is set to premiere on Netflix in November 2024, promising to dive deeper into the steampunk world of Piltover and Zaun.
The teaser trailer, released on January 5, focuses on the character Singed, the brilliant Zaunite scientist best known for creating the drug Shimmer in the first season. The clip suggests that Singed is preparing to introduce a new, formidable villain into the mix. Many speculate that this could be Warwick, a werewolf-like monster known for haunting the alleys of Zaun. Warwick's transformation and augmentation by Singed's experiments have made him a bloodthirsty predator, preying on criminals terrorizing the city's depths. This development aligns with a major fan theory from Season 1 that Vander, the father figure to Vi and Jinx who died in the first act, could be turned into Warwick.
The latest trailer provides a glimpse of Warwick, a massive beast chained to the ceiling, in a dark laboratory setting, highlighting the eerie atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the series. This inclusion of Warwick points to a more intense and possibly darker narrative for the upcoming season, especially considering the potential impact on Vi and Jinx, should their protector indeed be transformed into a monster.
