Seth Rollins was supposed to be the latest WWE superstar to have a role in a comic-book film, but that seems to be no longer the case.
The reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion filmed his scenes for Captain America: New World Order last year as, presumably, the leader of the Serpent Society. In the comic books, members of the said group, led by Sidewinder, wear costumes and have identities based on different types of snakes.
Unfortunately, as per @CanWeGetToast, the villain group's part in Captain America 4 has been cut from the movie.
According to the leaks, the Serpent Society would've been prominently featured in the first major action piece in the next Captain America film, with Captain America, the new Falcon, and Isaiah Bradley, all working together to take them down.
However, the MCU's version of the Serpent Society was supposedly going to be a group of people from the Middle East who want to terrorize a neighboring country - a big no-no given the on-going world issues.
While the MCU's decision to try and minimize any dalliances with controversial issues is understandable if expected, it doesn't change the fact that Anthony Mackie's time as the MCU's new Captain America can't seem to catch a break. The Falcon and Winter Soldier, in particular, had to go to through massive cuts and reshoots because the original plan was for the show to feature a group of villains who would release a virus, causing a global pandemic.
