Rockstar Games just dropped a very obvious nod to Grand Theft Auto 6

Now, this isn't the big news. Rather, it's the image used for the promotion. Behind the pair of player-created characters donning the Red Happy Moon Tee is the Vinewood sign (which, if you didn't know, is GTA's version of Hollywood). But, instead of spelling the entire word, it only shows the "VI" and the rest, except for the "OD" at the end covered.

And, well, that's it. This is the "only" reason why people are talking about GTA 6 all of a sudden without prompt.

Then again, as far as conspiracy theories about GTA 6 goes, this doesn't take plenty of mental gymnastics to wrap your head around. Rockstar is well aware that any sign that points to the number "6", whether Roman or Natural, will go viral almost immediately.

If nothing else, we can take this as Rockstar's way of telling us, "yes, we hear you, loud and clear."

Believe it or not, Rockstar has yet to confirm the official name of the next game in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Aside from the official announcement last year and the acknowledgement of the leaks, Rockstar hasn't talked much about the most expensive video game in the world already. But, while Rockstar has Claude and Trevor taking turns waiting to lay their hands on any would-be perpetrator looking to test their luck, that hasn't stopped Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two Interactive's CEO, from dropping hints about GTA 5's successor.

At this rate, Rockstar might end up pulling off a Valve and drop the official GTA 6 announcement trailer out of nowhere - we're sure that would make the internet explode right there and then.

For now though, Rockstar is content with teasing fans with these crumbs of information, all the while giving away free games.
