And, just like that, Rockstar Games has overshadowed every other announcement made in the entertainment industry with just a single teaser trailer - and one that it was forced to release early due to a leak. As the expectations for Grand Theft Auto VI continue to climb, Rockstar isn't shying away from selling it even more.

Sam Houser, the co-founder of Rockstar, talked up GTA VI further (as if that's even necessary) to emphasize that it will redefine the standards of immersive, story-driven open-world experiences, mirroring the earlier statement made by Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick.

The announcement arrives after a decade of anticipation, with GTA 6 promising to be the most immersive evolution of the series. The game is scheduled to be released in 2025, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

This decision mirrors Rockstar's historical approach of prioritizing console releases before considering other platforms, such as PC.
