After much speculation and rumors, Electronic Arts is finally ready to reveal the next entry in its long-running arcade racing series.

EA confirmed that the initial reveal trailer for the still-unnamed Need for Speed will make its debut tomorrow, October 6, at 11:00 AM EST. Although details of the next Need for Speed title remain unclear, a recent leak suggests that it will launch in December under the name of "Need for Speed: Unbound." It's believed that the new Need for Speed will feature anime elements, as per earlier leaks.

If it's true that Need for Speed Unbound will come out on December 2, Electronic Arts will be leaving less than two months between its initial reveal and release. This isn't a deal-breaker, but you'd expect EA to dedicate more of its resources to getting the word out on the new racing sim.

Keep in mind, Criterion and Codemasters are working together on this new installment.
