Capcom's on a roll this year, and Resident Evil fans are in for another treat. The Japanese developer has just revealed that the rumored Separate Ways DLC for Resident Evil 4 is not only real but is coming sooner than we think.
During the recent September PlayStation State of Play showcase, Capcom pulled the curtains back on the upcoming Ada Wong DLC with a trailer and release date of September 21. The trailer gives a sneak peek at Ada Wong, the mysterious spy who's always been a step ahead of (or behind) Leon Kennedy.
This time, she's not just lurking in the shadows, as we now see her at the forefront of the battle against the fanatical Los Illuminados sect, climbing castle walls, and even crossing paths with the ever-elusive Albert Wesker.
Separate Ways is not an entirely new addition to the Resident Evil 4 narrative either. This side story first made its debut in the original Resident Evil 4 after its transition from GameCube to the PlayStation 2 back in 2005 - but at the same time this isn't just a rehash.
Capcom promises a deeper dive into Ada's parallel journey, shedding light on her motivations and exploring her interactions with Leon during the events of Resident Evil 4. As Capcom puts it, before Leon even set foot in that eerie village, Ada was already there, on a mission to uncover the cult's darkest secret: the Amber.
