Rayman fans got a surprise Christmas gift when the source code of the canceled Rayman 4 game leaked online. Not only that, but the leak includes an editor for the game as well. As a result, the incomplete game is now usable and interested gamers are free to explore what it contains. Naturally, the more curious fans couldn't stop themselves from digging deep into its content and what they found was quite interesting, to say the least.
Rayman is part of a long list of forgotten video game franchises that were once popular in the late 90s and early 2000s. Rayman 4 was supposed to be the next numbered sequel after Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, which came out in 2003. It's believed that work on Rayman 4 was discontinued after just four months, which explains the relatively barren content found in the leak. The concept was later used for the spin-off, Rayman Raving Rabbids.
