Superman: Legacy is the much-hyped first entry in James Gunn's highly anticipated DC Universe. But, information about the movie remains scarce at the moment. However, speculation and rumors around the movie abound about the frontrunners for the iconic roles of Superman, Lois Lane, and possibly even Lex Luthor. This time around, the main buzz we're hearing is centered around Lois Lane.

At the moment, we're hearing whispers of an award-winning actress being in the running for the role of Superman's long-time girlfriend/wife.

According to sources, Rachel Broshanan delivered an "outstanding" audition for Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy. But, she's not quite the choice just yet. It's believed that Gunn has also entertained auditions for the same role from other actresses, specifically Emma Mackey and Samara Weaving, who've been mistaken for each other in recent years along with Margot Robbie, as well as Phoebe Dynevor.

With Gunn at the helm of the DC Universe, expectations for the first film in the new cinematic universe are sky-high.
