After the first movie, fans have been asking for a sequel. Earlier this year, there were reports that Salazar, producer James Cameron, and Robert Rodriguez were "trying like hell" to get the sequel into production.
Well, we have new information regarding the sequel that would surely excite expecting fans. The movie's co-producer Jon Landau gave a promising update on the sequel. Speaking to Deadline, the producer stated that he and James Cameron discussed a sequel with director Robert Rodriguez.
"Well, there's a little film called 'Alita: Battle Angel' that we'd love to circle back and do a sequel to," Landau said. "And we've been talking to Robert [Rodriguez] about that, and hopefully, that comes to fruition."
