Gran Turismo 7 came out to roaring reviews last year and recently received a new update to support the upcoming PSVR2. While Polyphony Digital is working on updates for GT7, the studio has teased that a team is already developing the next entry into the series.

Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi sat down with the Japanese gaming website Game Watch (translated by Push Square) to discuss the upcoming PSVR2 update for GT7. Yamauchi revealed during the interview that the next title for the Gran Turismo franchise is already being developed by Polyphony Digital, however, he cannot talk about it in detail.
"Actually, we do have a theme," Yamauchi stated when asked about what he wants to achieve with the series. "We are starting to work on the next one, but I can't talk about it yet. It's a shame that I can't talk about it very much."
