While the basic premise of Pokemon is that they're friendly creatures, in real life, you'll want to stay away from a couple of them. Much more so when we're talking about the living embodiment of a hypothetical creature that could only exist in heavily polluted toxic areas. But, one Pokemon fan isn't just unafraid of a Koffing, they actually went out and made one.

The concept of realistic Pokemon has been proven to work, to some degree. The 2019 film, Pokemon Detective Pikachu, is widely considered one of the best video game movie adaptations after pulling in nearly half a million at the global box office.
