The earlier leak, as always, is true. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Fallout 76, and Axiom Verge 2, are all part of the PS Plus games lineup for next month. Sony confirmed the new games on the last Wednesday of the month, just like clockwork. You'll need to have at least a PS Plus Essential membership to get access to the three aforementioned games starting on January 2. In the meantime, PS Plus members can redeem last month's games (Biomutant, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and Divine Knockout) until Monday, January 1.
It's easy to explain Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from Respawn Entertainment. It's one of the best Star Wars games on the market and the sequel is coming out in March. The action-adventure game also somewhat ties into the larger Star Wars universe and the series lead, Cal Kestis, is said to be getting a live-action spin-off. Even if you're not a big Star Wars fan, Fallen Order offers enough in the action, exploration, and platforming department to keep you occupied for hours.
As for Axiom Verge 2, the self-published Metroidvania game came out in 2021 for the PS4 with a PS5 version coming a year later. It's a worthwhile venture if you're looking to scratch that Metroidvania itch, especially since there doesn't seem to be a new Metroid or Castlevania game coming out anytime soon.
