Netherland-based video game development studio, Blue Box Game Studios, recently announced that they're working on an all-new IP titled Abandoned that's set to exclusively release on the PlayStation 5 later this year.
Blue Box Game Studios Game Director, Hasan Kahraman, broke the news via a blog post on the official Sony PlayStation blog on Wednesday, April 7.
What Kind of Game Is The PS5-Exclusive Abandoned?
Abandoned is a first-person survival horror shooter title from the indie studio, Blue Box Game Studios. It's reportedly been in development for the better part of the past 5 years.
According to its Game Director, Abandoned puts players in the shoes of Jason Longfield, a man who finds himself in the middle of a strange and dense forest with not the faintest clue of how he got there and why. As he goes on exploring, he eventually manages to piece things together.
Apparently, someone had kidnapped Jason and brought him to the forest with sinister plans in mind. Now that he knows that his life is in immediate danger, Jason is desperate to find a way to escape and survive.
In addition to detailing what the game is all about, Kahraman also took the time in the blog post to discuss what kind of experience the game will provide. He claims that the studio wants to "deliver a uniquely personal gameplay experience", adding that they want it to feel realistic. This includes making it more difficult to fire a gun and maintain optimal accuracy if you're out of breath and so much more.
