Rockstar stole the spotlight from these games with GTA 6

After going gold last month

, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, has finally come out as well, and it's not exactly drawing rave reviews,

unlike its movie counterpart

Finally, did you know that Bethesda is in hot water at the moment? As easy as it is to guess that it's because of Starfield, because, you know, it's Starfield and the internet seems to love to take a proverbial dump on the game. (It doesn't help that Bethesda keeps on giving haters and naysayers fodder to continue bashing it). But, as it turns out, the internet isn't a fan of what Bethesda just did to its seemingly immaculate iconic title, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Truth be told, these are just some of the announcements that most of us missed these past couple of days around the video game industry. We can only imagine how much worse this is going to get once GTA 6 comes out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X in 2025.

Don't forget, GTA 6 is the only game to have Twitter "beg" its developers to release its trailer on their platform. This is after its owner had a controversial take on the overall franchise.

Between the GTA 6 trailer drawing in several theories about the identity of its latest bikini girl (hint: it's not Rubi Rose) and how it's going to use the "Invisible Wall" mechanic, there's no way people are going to stop talking about it anytime soon.

The best shot everyone has got is if Rockstar isn't at The Game Awards, which takes place on December 7. Only by then will Baldur's Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2, the frontrunners for the GOTY award, have a shot at dominating internet discussions if only temporarily.

Rockstar Games is currently working on GTA 6, which is expected to be a game-changer for the video game industry as well as a game that will set a creative benchmark. It isn't clear if it's going to be released on other platforms like the PC, but rumor has it that it will be bundled with the PS5 Pro when it comes out.
