HBO's The Last of Us is one of the most highly anticipated shows to hit cable TV, but just as the TV network giant has done in the past, it's keeping most details under lock and key. Luckily, one of the series' stars, Pedro Pascal, who will portray Joel Miller, had a couple of words to share about the upcoming TV show.

The Game of Thrones actor was at SXSW to promote his latest project, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. As is usually the case at SXSW, reporters, and publications took the chance to ask all the celebrities about their other ongoing works. In the case of Pascal, he was asked what it's like shooting The Last of Us. Pascal responded by confirming that "clickers and spores" are going to be in the show (and on the set) and that he's having an "amazing time" so far. Pascal also reassured worried fans that the show's lengthy production process is going to be "completely worth it."

The Last of Us is commonly cited as one of the most influential video games of all time. Released at the tail end of the PS3's lifespan in 2013, Naughty Dog's narrative-driven action-adventure game put players in the shoes of Joel, who, throughout the game, bonds with a young girl, Ellie, across a very different and pandemic-ravaged America. In the live-action adaptation, Pascal will be joined by fellow Games of Thrones alumni, Bella Ramsay, who will be taking on the role of Ellie.
