It appears that the COVID-19 pandemic isn't ending anytime soon. After several months of relative normalcy, at least, in terms of theater attendance, studios have no choice but to adjust their timelines and premieres once again following a significant surge of the Omicron variant in the United States.

The latest of which to do so is Paramount Pictures after it has canceled the red carpet premiere for Scream.
