Principal filming has been completed on the Obi-Wan Kenobi series which Disney plans to release on its own streaming service. Starring Ewan McGregor as the titular much-memed Jedi master in exile, the series will bridge some of the events between Star Wars episodes III and IV.

Several sources have reported that principal photography has wrapped up successfully, and much of the talent attached to the show is already working on other projects. Post-production is definitely going to be a lot of work, and thus the show has yet to receive a release date.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will focus on McGregor's character as he enters exile on Tatooine following the fall of the Jedi order in Revenge of the Sith. Seeing as Hayden Christensen has been officially confirmed to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, by then known as Darth Vader, the show is definitely going to drop some emotional bombshells during its storyline.

Joining McGregor and Christensen are fellow Prequel Trilogy actors Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse as Owen and Beru Lars, the adoptive parents of Luke Skywalker and soon to be charred corpses. Alongside these returning actors reprising their roles, Obi-Wan Kenobi features a star studded cast of newcomers.
