After Microsoft and Sony, it's finally Nintendo's turn to showcase what its plans are for the foreseeable future in what will be its first Direct event this year.
While the Nintendo Direct remains unconfirmed as of the time of writing, several sources confirm that it's coming. One of them is billbil-kun, who claims that a Nintendo Direct is coming soon with a potential shadow drop of an unnamed game.
But that's not all. A Redditor brought evidence pointing to the name of the said game and it has fans excited.
It isn't unusual for video game companies to release unconfirmed and unannounced games to unexpecting audiences. Last year, Xbox turned heads with Hi-Fi Rush, an Xbox exclusive that won the hearts of fans and critics alike by year's end. Nintendo jumped on the bandwagon with the release of Metroid Prime Remastered.
Both of these releases came at their respective showcases in early 2023, which, ironically, are referred to as "Direct."
