The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fever is real. Just weeks after the end of IEM Rio Major 2022, Brazil's national soccer team is hooked hard on Valve's premiere first-person shooter. So much so that they're all busy playing CS:GO with just days to go ahead of the team's match on November 24.
Middle East Stars League owner, Abdallah Al Ghifari, revealed Neymar had roped in a few of his teammates, specifically, fellow forward, Gabriel Jesus, and midfielders, Casemiro, Lucas Paqueta, and Everton Ribiero, to subscribe and play in the biggest CS:GO hub in the region on Monday, November 21.
The MESL owner even joked about streaming the five-man lineup's matches. We're pretty sure this would rake in hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of viewers with little to no effort.
CS:GO is one of the most popular competitive games in the world, ranked atop the scene alongside the likes of Dota 2 and League of Legends. But, while it's not the most relaxing game, it's not unusual for professional players to use it to blow off some steam. When you consider that the World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events in the world, you can't blame Neymar and his teammates for using CS:GO as a brief and temporary escape.
