Between May the Fourth and Revenge of the Fifth, the internet is drowning in Star Wars related content, news and deals - even if a lot of that is being overshadowed by the troubled PC launch of Jedi Survivor. As the gaming world is still reeling from one launch, a new rumor indicates that a major studio is cooking a real-time strategy game.
The days of the Star Wars game drought from the early days of the EA exclusive license are long behind us, and there are a lot more titles from the galaxy far, far away being developed by various studios than you might think. Now we can add another to that growing pile, if these rumors pan out.
VGC editor Andy Robinson tweeted a reply to a post from fellow journalist Josh West waxing nostalgic about Empire at War. The message reads "I imagine you won't have to wait much longer for a Star Wars RTS from a big-name developer..."
West responded with a reference to another title being developed by Bit Reactor and Respawn, leading Robinson to clarify he meant an unannounced title. No further details, such as what "big-name" developer is being referred to, was shared.
