After the recent success of their Resident Evil 4 Remake, Capcom released a new trailer for their latest CG-animated movie, Resident Evil: Death Island, that features everyone's favorite characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Rebecca Chambers. What's exciting about this trailer is that all these characters are seen teaming up to remove a new evil. The trailer also shows a release date of July 7th, 2023, for Japan, but no information about worldwide release has been shared as of yet.
While we've seen multiple games and movies centered around different characters like Chris Redfield, Leon, and Jill, we've never seen many of these protagonists working together or even interacting with each other. This applies to the most unexpected interactions seen in the trailer - Jill and Leon. Jill and Leon have always been protagonists in their respective titles, but seeing them both in a single movie and interacting with each other was a huge surprise for the fans who adore them both. All it took was 20 years of waiting.
During the first teaser trailer released a few months ago, we see Jill Valentine at the end of a 30-second teaser trailer of the movie. We also saw Leon and Chris in the trailer. However, it was not confirmed whether they were going to interact with each other or not. But the new trailer confirms that they will work together alongside other notable characters (Chris, Rebecca, and Claire).
