Throughout its almost nine-year lifespan, the PS4 has gotten 63 exclusives. Meanwhile, the PS5 has only five in almost two years. Although the PS5 should eventually catch up in the exclusives department, there's no denying that the console is sorely lacking in console sellers right now. But, if we believe the recent reports, Sony wants to fix this by releasing new games from two of their popular but "forgotten" first-party exclusives: Sly Cooper and Infamous.
According to AccountNGT, Sony is working on new installments of Sly Cooper and Infamous games. Unfortunately, this was all that they had to say about these first-party Sony exclusives. They could not confirm if the games are being developed by Sucker Punch or if Sony had already assigned them to their several other studios. However, AccountNGT did state that Sony could reveal more about the new Sly Cooper and Infamous titles at an unannounced PlayStation event soon, which could be the same one that's rumored to take place later this month.
Of course, as Sony hasn't confirmed this information at all, take it with a grain of salt.
For newer gamers, Sly Cooper and Infamous are two IPs that Sucker Punch Productions worked on for PlayStation consoles many years ago. The former are stealth-based platformers revolving around the adventures of the titular character. Sucker Punch would end up making three Sly Cooper games for the PlayStation 2 before moving on to focus on the Infamous games for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4.
