More than five years after Bird Box had people debating what they'd do if they lived in a world where opening your eyes as well as looking outside is akin to suicide, a spin-off that's set in another part of the globe is finally coming.
The spin-off, Bird Box Barcelona, which will premiere on Netflix on July 14, features a group of survivors trying to navigate a deadly world.
The trailer begins with one of the survivors carefully trying to scavenge an abandoned home. We're then taken to a glimpse of the early goings of the entire situation and what led to the current events.
As previously mentioned, the film is a spin-off to the 2018 movie, Bird Box, starring Sandra Bullock as a woman trying to survive in a now-barren world. While the new movie is set in the same universe, it takes place across the pond, all the way in Barcelona, and will feature a different group of characters. But, despite the setting change, fans of the original movie will likely want to tune in to see how the rest of the world handled the crisis.
