The world is no longer quite as bullish on NFTs and cryptocurrency these days, when compared to last year. However, some companies, especially in the video game industry, are still supportive of the idea and technology's eventual integration in games. But, while companies like Square Enix are trying to justify their partnership with blockchain technology, others are more vocal in their opposition.

After companies such as Take-Two Interactive, Blizzard Entertainment, and Valve, have said no to NFTs, the Microsoft-owned Mojang Studios is joining the "anti-NFT" club.

In a surprisingly lengthy statement, the team behind the best-selling game in video game history explained why it is not keen on embracing the supposedly magical technology. In addition to this, the studio took the time to rationalize its decision to ban anything related to blockchains in Minecraft.

TLDR; Mojang just banned blockchain tech in Minecraft as it "does not align with Minecraft values of creative inclusion and playing together."
