The long-rumored Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Plan is finally here.
Just days after the sharing-oriented Game Pass tier was leaked online, Xbox revealed that it is testing out the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Plan in Ireland and Colombia, where it costs €21.99 per month and 49,900 COP, respectively.
If we assume that the pricing carries over to its worldwide launch, the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Plan will cost $10 more than the current Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan, which sits at a neat $14.99 price point.
According to the official page, the Friends & Family Plan will carry the same benefits as the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan except that multiple users can share it.
In addition to pricing, Xbox is also laying out some ground rules. For example, members can only join one group at a time with a limit of joining a group twice a year. Also, this is how existing plans will work for those who will upgrade to the more expensive tier: 30 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate = 18 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family 30 days of Xbox Game Pass (Console) = 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family 30 days of PC Game Pass = 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family 30 days of Xbox Live Gold = 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family 30 days of EA Play = 6 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family Most likely, we'll see Microsoft roll out the Friends & Family plan in other territories less than a year from now.
