Marvel's Spider-Man 2's next big update finally has a confirmed release date and it's soon.
While the webhead was notably absent from the last State of Play, Insomniac Games cleared the air regarding the release of the game's New Game+ mode.
, Insomniac revealed that NG+ is headed to Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in March. But that's not all. Ahead of the update's launch, Insomniac is making a two-hour game trial of the sequel available to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers. Similar to other game trials, any progress made and trophies earned during this period will carry over to the full game upon purchase.

Sales aside, Marvel's Spider-Man 2's post-launch updates have been derailed by an incident involving a breach of confidential data over at Insomniac Games.
It's unclear if Insomniac has already recovered from the backlash. Nevertheless, seeing the first-party Sony studio updating Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a positive sign.
, Insomniac will release a standalone Venom title next year followed by Marvel's Wolverine in 2026 and Marvel's Spider-Man 3 in 2028. But it's curious the rumored expansion for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, based off datamined information,
