The trailer brings back footage we have already seen from the first teaser, which some fansbombed with dislikes, but it also offers more insight into what we can expect from the film.
It shows more of Dar-Benn, the film's big bad, and hints at her motivation for waging war against the trio. It also shows us a more involved Nick Fury, which suggests he will play a major role in the film and not be relegated to the sidelines. As a bonus, The Marvels will bring back the very cut but extremely dangerous cat, Goose.
The Marvels tells a story that has Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan at the center. These three superheroes have powers that are linked to light. In The Marvels, their lives become jumbled together and, when they use their powers, they find themselves teleported into each other's lives unintended.

But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. The Marvels is the long-awaited sequel to 2019's Captain Marvel and more. The film takes place after the events of the TV shows, WandaVision, Ms. Marvel, and Secret Invasion. Each of the film's central characters had a part to play in the said projects and The Marvels continues their stories.
