Marvel is already discussing Ant-Man 4

So, where does Marvel go from here with Ant-Man's character? One Marvel producer teased that the topic of a sequel for Quantumania is already being discussed.

Marvel producer Stephen Broussard spoke with Comicbook.com at the press junket for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Broussard revealed that the studio is already thinking about Ant-Man 4.

"We're already thinking about it," Broussard said. "It's like, every movie's its own battle and you bear the scars of making it and wanting to make it great. But hope springs eternal and you start to put yourself back together after the journey of making the movie. You're like, 'Yeah, what if we did X and what if we did Y?'"

While the producer did not want to say much about a sequel, Broussard did make it clear that he already talked to director Peyton Reed and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige about Ant-Man 4.

"Like the wheels start turning, you can't help yourself. I don't want to say anything about specifically what those are, but yeah, you can't help yourself. Those conversations, those whispers have already started to happen between myself and Peyton and Kevin," Broussard shared.

Stephen Broussard is part of Marvel's group of Parliament members, which oversees creative control of the MCU's storyline and future. This means that Broussard's statement holds a lot of weight when looking at the prospect of an Ant-Man sequel.

While it will still be a week before we get to watch the movie, everything points to a continuation of the Ant-Man story. We may also see Evangeline Lilly's Wasp or Kathryn Newton's Cassie take center stage in the next film.

Evangeline Lilly has also recently spoke to Variety about a standalone film for The Wasp. "Well, I'm going to make a pitch that I think it might be time for a Hope spin-off... for a Wasp standalone film," the Wasp actor said. "Do we agree? Anybody? Going once... going twice."

She adds, "When we first came into the universe, it was so established with Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, and all the original gangsters. And we were just like these new kids on the block who were trying to earn our stripes. And now all of a sudden we're in the center at the launching point of Phase 5, and it feels really cool."

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be opening in theaters on February 17.
