Voice actors are just as iconic as their live-action counterparts, and some argue a certain few give characters more justice, like Mark Hamill, for example. Most might know him for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, but Hamill has also done plenty of voicework in the past.

Specifically, Hamill has been the voice of Joker for a handful of animated Batman shows, films, and even video games, often partnering with Kevin Conroy. But, now that his frequent partner has passed away, Hamill feels like he can't ever return to the role anymore.

Speaking to Empire, the tragic death of his longtime Batman co-star is giving him no choice but to hang the purple suit in the closet, saying:

They would call and say, 'They want you to do the joker,' and my only question was, 'Is Kevin Batman?' If they said yes, I would say, 'I'm in.' We were like partners. We were like Laurel and Hardy. Without Kevin there, there doesn't seem to be a Batman for me.

With over a dozen credits as Joker's voice actor to his name, losing Hamill is a huge blow for future DC Projects.
