Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis have reportedly spoken about Freaky Friday 2

All that's missing now is a potential Mean Girls sequel starring Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams, and Lacey Chabert.

Although Curtis claims that she pitched the idea for a Freaky Friday sequel to Disney, we haven't heard from the Mouse House since.

It looks like Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are up for reprising their former roles from the 2003 classic film, Freaky Friday.

After Curtis revealed last month that she’d like to do a Freaky Friday sequel, Lohan fielded questions about potentially coming back to co-star with Curtis at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

According to Lohan, the two of them have spoken about the possibility of the two of them working together again for Freaky Friday 2.

Following a nearly-decade-long hiatus from starring in Hollywood films, Lohan is back to work again and it’s like she never left. The former child superstar recently starred in Netflix’s Falling for Christmas. She’s also working with the streamer on Irish Wish, which is already in post-production ahead of its launch sometime next year. This is it for Lohan’s booked roles, which gives her plenty of time to work on a Freaky Friday sequel considering both she and Curtis are up for it.

Sequels and reboots of movies that came out decades are so fetch these days. It wouldn’t surprise us if Disney green lights this film given how many people are talking about it on the internet.

Speaking of fetch, who knows? Maybe all this talk about Freaky Friday is enough to bring the band back together for a Mean Girls sequel.

We’re definitely curious to find out how Disney would handle a Freaky Friday sequel now that the two stars are a lot older.

Jamie Lee Curtis most recently starred in Everything Everywhere All at Once and Halloween Ends. She’s part of the ensemble cast for the live-action adaptation of Gearbox Software’s live-action adaptation of Borderlands, which premieres next year.
