So, you’ve got Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 pre-ordered, and you’re staring at your PS5, thinking it can’t get any better. But hold on, it actually does! You can now go all-in with a limited edition Spider-Man-themed console and DualSense controller!
Insomniac Games and PlayStation Studios swung by San Diego Comic-Con yesterday to drop more details about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, including a new limited edition PS5 bundle featuring a themed DualSense controller. Pre-orders will go live on July 28, and the bundle will hit shelves on September 1.
Though the highly anticipated game has been shrouded in mystery, Sony has now released a story trailer that foreshadows the game’s greatest threats: Kraven the Hunter and Venom.
With this in mind, the PS5 console’s front cover perfectly depicts the alien symbiote trying to take over Spider-Man’s red design, leaving only the iconic Spider-Man symbol unconsumed, while the back cover is fully transformed into the black symbiote design.
Fans who choose to purchase the limited edition bundle will get a limited edition PS5 console, a limited edition DualSense wireless controller, and a voucher for a digital copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Standard Edition. If you already have a PS5, don’t fret. You can still get the limited edition console covers, either for the PS5 with a disc drive, or for the PS5 Digital Edition. You can also buy the DualSense Wireless Controller – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition separately.
If you opt for the complete PS5 bundle, you’ll get a game voucher that can be redeemed once Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is released. On top of that, the voucher comes with all the pre-order perks, including early access to the Arachknight Suit with 3 color variants for Peter and the Shadow Spider Suit with 3 color variants for Miles, along with the Web Grabber gadget and 3 skill points.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings onto PlayStation 5 on October 20.
