Lenovo is one of the most recognizable PC brands on the market today. Apart from the PC, Lenovo also manufactures smartphones, printers, and televisions, among other devices. Now, the company is venturing into the handheld gaming PC market and has now unveiled its first offering, the Legion Go.
Lenovo debuted the gadget a few days ago at the IFA Berlin Trade Fair in Germany. According to the information available, the device will be powered by Windows 11 and will have a starting price of $699. It also looks a lot like its competition.
When it arrives, Lenovo's Legion Go will be competing with other handheld gaming devices like the Asus ROG, the Logitech G Cloud, and the Valve Steam Deck. However, the device will have an advantage over these devices from the jump.
For one, the Legion Go has a much better display: an 8.8-inch touchscreen with a 1600p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. For comparison, the ROG Ally spots a 1080p display with a 120Hz refresh rate and the Steam Deck has an 800p resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.
The Legion Go also boasts a much larger battery than its competitors, which means you can use it for longer. Unfortunately, there is a tradeoff in weight to accommodate the larger battery: the device is heavier than both the Steam Deck and the ROG Ally.
