Leaker reveals setting for Call of Duty 2024

Reliable Call of Duty insider, CoD_Perseus, shared the setting for next year's Call of Duty game, which is being developed by Treyarch.

Call of Duty 2024 will reportedly be a direct sequel to Black Ops 4.

Fans are waiting for Activision Blizzard to reveal this year’s Call of Duty game. But, the entire Call of Duty development team works harder than the devil. At the moment, Treyarch is already hard at work on next year’s entry, whose setting has just been leaked online.

Recent rumors suggest that next year’s Call of Duty 2024 will be set in the Persian Gulf. According to Call of Duty insider CoD_Perseus, the upcoming title will take place during the Gulf War.

The new rumor corroborates our previous report on the Call of Duty 2024 taking place during the events of the First Persian Gulf War in the early 1990s. The previous leak was a cryptic video about the Persian Gulf War that many fans assumed would be the backdrop of the upcoming game.

CoD_Perseus has been a very reliable Call of Duty leaker and has shared accurate information about the series. The insider also recently shared an image of Call of Duty 2023 but the photo has since been taken down.

The upcoming game will be developed by Treyarch Studios and will likely be a Black Ops title. The studio has been working on the Black Ops subseries since 2010. The previous title from the studio. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, centered around the conflict between the United States and Russia in the 1980s.

It makes perfect sense for the sequel to Black Ops Cold War to be set in the 1990s. The First Persian Gulf War, which is more popularly known as Operation Desert Storm, is historically the next international conflict after the Cold War.

Treyarch Studios will be developing Call of Duty 2024.

A previous leak from Modern Warfare II Informer gives fans a more detailed picture of the upcoming title. According to the rumor, the game will only have 6v6 multiplayer and the time to kill will be similar to Black Ops 4.

The rumor also suggests that sliding will still be in the game while Tactical sprint will only last a few seconds. Many fans aren’t fans of the recent changes to the movement speed of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II which was slower. Other fans also commented that time to kill (TTK) in Modern Warfare II was too fast and gives campers a bigger advantage.

Activision Blizzard has not confirmed any of the rumors. However, given the track record of the insiders sharing info, it’d be reasonable for fans to take these rumors seriously. The information gives players plenty to look forward to in 2024.
