At 34 years old with 13-time NBA All-Star appearances under his belt, Kevin Durant has pretty much done it all in the NBA. So, he's decided to bring his prowess into the battlefield. Or, in this case, Call of Duty.
According to Activision, the 6-foot-10 Phoenix Suns forward is the next celebrity skin that's coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2.0, and Call of Duty Mobile.
Durant's skin will be a "special, limited-time store bundle to be released during Season 03 reloaded."
Season 03 Reloaded brings several new features and other familiar experiences to Call of Duty, such as Warzone 2.0 Ranked Play, in its launch on May 10.
As one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history with multiple championship rings and NBA Finals MVPs as well as regular season MVPs in his trophy cabinet, Durant doesn't need the added exposure. If anything, Activision and Call of Duty, as well as the millions of people who play the popular online game every month, have more to gain from this.
Durant isn't the first international sporting superstar to hit Call of Duty. Last year, World Cup soccer plays, including Neymar and Leo Messi, were added to Call of Duty as playable skins.
