This year's Gamescom Opening Night Live emerged as a platform for monumental announcements, and one of those to lead the charge was Bandai Namco's eagerly anticipated fighter, Tekken 8.

The gaming community's heightened buzz was justified as the release date, previously shrouded in mystery and leaked on the internet, was officially unveiled: January 26, 2024.

Gamers, mark your calendars for a post-festive treat, because Tekken is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, just as the holidays die down.

With the enigmatic Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken's creator, taking center stage, an illuminating new trailer was unfurled. It's not only a reaffirmation of the earlier leaked release date but it also cast a spotlight on a wealth of new information, keeping every Tekken enthusiast at the edge of their seats.

As the trailer unravelled, a legion of familiar faces marched across the screen, nodding to their imminent return. Names that have become synonymous with the Tekken lexicon like Kuma, Steve Fox, Shaheen, Dragunov, Yoshimitsu and Leo Steinbuck, and so much moremore, were showcased. Notably, these are the most fighters we've seen revealed at the same time for Tekken 8, and while their kits remain an enticing mystery, their sheer presence is a testament to Bandai's commitment to the game's legacy.
