Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been a part-time professional wrestler for the better part of the past two decades since officially retiring from the WWE in 2004 and going on to become one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. However, the Brahma Bull has been nonexistent in the WWE these past few years.
The Rock's last proper appearance was at Wrestlemania 29 back in 2013, when he fought and lost against John Cena in the main event.
It is then ironic that nearly a decade since that fateful night, it is Cena who is also hoping for "The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment" to come back.
Is The Rock returning to the WWE?
The Rock has had an incredibly busy filming schedule these past few years and it's not set to let up for the near future. After wrapping up filming on Black Adam, The Rock is set to star alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot in Netflix's Red Notice. After this, he's off to lend his talents for the DC League of Super-Pets animated film, along with talks of production on Hobbs & Shaw 2 expected to start filming anytime within the next year or two.
