Black Adam was DC's final movie for 2022. The blockbuster movie starring Dwayne Johnson was released just as Warner Bros. initiated a leadership change in DC. Walter Hamada was removed from his post while James Gunn and Peter Safran were installed as co-CEOs of the newly minted DC Studios.
The duo of Gunn and Safran are reportedly separating the creative and business sides of DC Studios. Gunn will lead the creative side while Safran will handle the movie outfit's business aspect.
After the news of Gunn's hiring, fans have been asking when audiences will see the impact of his leadership in DC. Gunn is famed for directing the Guardians of the Galaxy series for the MCU, as well as The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker for DC.
Recently, the director turned co-CEO took to Instagram to address fan questions and revealed the next slate of DC movies under his watch. Gunn revealed the movie poster of Blue Beetle on the social media site and was asked if the upcoming film would be "the first movie under his guidance."
