James Cameron is easily one of the most successful film directors of all time as he's responsible for three of the top four highest-grossing films in history, which have all grossed over $2 billion. However, his recent projects have examined the effect of colonization and uncontrolled industrialism on the fictional planet of Pandora, which draws parallels to earth.

Now, in the wake of his latest film, the visionary director has admitted to supporting Thanos's idea of depopulation and it appears that he's a Snap sympathizer.

During a recent interview with Time, the Terminator director stated "I can relate to Thanos. I thought he had a pretty viable answer. The problem is nobody is going to put up their hand to volunteer to be the half that has to go."

Thanos, one of the biggest and most fearsome villains in cinema history, wiped out half of the universe's intelligent life for a good reason. The Marvel Cinematic Universe character didn't do this simply because he was evil. In fact, his annihilation plan arose out of the desire to ensure that intelligent life everywhere survives since populations were fast outstripping available resources.
