Jack Reacher is back, and this time, the stakes are personal. Prime Video is set to unleash the second season of Reacher on December 15, with a promise of more action, more intrigue, and more jingoism the kind of hard-hitting justice fans have come to expect from the towering ex-military policeman.
The new season, inspired by Lee Child's eleventh book in the Jack Reacher series, 'Bad Luck and Trouble,' sees Reacher (played by Alan Ritchson with such brilliance) pulled back into the fray when members of his old Army unit start turning up dead.
The trailer, a high-octane montage of fights, explosions, and classic Reacher one-liners, teases a reunion with former comrades who've become like family to him. Together, they're on a mission - not just to solve a murder but to unravel a mystery where each clue raises the stakes to degrees of cliché never before thought possible.
Reacher's "family" includes the sharp and savvy Frances Neagley, whom we met in Season 1, forensic accountant Karla Dixon, for whom Reacher has always had a soft spot, and the quick-witted, switchblade-slinging David O'Donnell.
As they dig deeper, they must confront the chilling possibility of betrayal from within, all while racing against time to prevent more deaths (you know, just the usual day in the life of Jack Reacher). It's almost like none of them ever read a spy thriller - they'd probably know all the beats already.
