The wait for the highly anticipated second season of the acclaimed Reacher series on Amazon Prime Video is almost over. Via a funny clip that was posted on Twitter, Alan Ritchson announced that filming for the second season is finished.

In the clip (below), we see a bloodied Ritchson, who plays the titular role, announce that the last scene of Season 2 is done, saying:
I just came off set Reacher Season 2. Last scene is done. As you can see, things got a little crazy. We promised things would be back bigger and better than ever. And we did not lie." Ritchson then proceeds to climb up a set of stairs, where he stands behind a giant clapboard and declares: "And we do it Reacher style. Here it is, to close out the season. It's officially done. Season 2. Back bigger and better than ever. We promised we would, and proof is in the puddin'.

Reacher is based on the Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child, and the first season is based on his 1997 debut novel, Killing Floor. It made its premiere last year on February 4, and three days later, it was renewed for a second season. The latter will follow the events of Bad Luck and Trouble, the eleventh book in the series. The premiere date is yet to be announced, but Vernon Sanders, Amazon Studios' Head of Television, revealed that the second season will be released sometime this year.
It's going really well. Alan is back, and he is so fantastic in the role. I'm so proud of the producers [for] finding that fit for Reacher. The Reacher fans of the book, their reaction to the show has just been a dream. Season 2 is awesome. And as great as season one was, I think season two delivers beyond that, and I do think there's a good chance that that show will be back next year.
Fans' favorites Willa Fitzgerald and Malcolm Goodwin will not be reprising their roles in season 2, but Luke Bilyk, Dean McKenzie, Edsson Morales, Andres Collantes, Shannon Kook-Chun, Ty Victor Olsson, and Josh Blacker will. Serinda Swan, Ferdinand Kingsley, Shaun Sipos, Rory Cochrane, and guest star Domenick Lombardozzi are just a few of the new faces that will be joining the cast.
