At this year's recently-concluded San Diego Comic-Con, fans of Amazon Prime Video's popular animated superhero series, Invincible, were rewarded with much-anticipated updates.
Among the most exciting reveals, it was confirmed that the premiere of the show's second season will kick off later this year with the rest of the episodes coming a few months later. But, that's not all. After enduring over a two-year gap between the first season and the next one, fans can rest easy knowing that voice recordings for Season 3 are already complete.
This promising development comes straight from Robert Kirkman, one of the co-creators of Invincible. Kirkman teamed up with Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley to breathe life into Invincible, the comic book series that began in 2003 and concluded last February after 144 gripping issues.
Kirkman has been open about the challenges faced in bringing Invincible to the small screen. "This is a very complicated show," he stated during an interview with ComicBook.com. "Making an animated series is akin to assembling a factory and getting it up and running. Now that we have everything in place, this will be the longest gap between seasons. From this point on, every gap between seasons will be smaller."
