Last month, Prime Video finally unveiled the trailer for Invincible Season 2, as well as its release date at the San Diego Comic Con. Even though we were expecting the update, we still couldn't help but be impressed.
Robert Kirkman, Invincible's creator, sat for an interview with Collider at the convention where he explained the decision to split the upcoming season into two parts, among other things.
Kirkman explained that the decision was partially inspired by the show's production process. He said, "It's a little bit of the production process just because ramping things up has taken a lot longer than we thought."
Kirkman further said they made the decision primarily as a narrative choice.
In his words, "This is something that we've done with every season of The Walking Dead, and I think narratively, it's kind of cool to have that pause to digest what you've just experienced. And when you see Episode 4 of Season 2, you may need a break. It's a big episode. It's definitely a mid-season finale kind of episode."
