Insomniac Games Art Director Hints At Spider-man 2

Although Sony nor Insomniac Games have confirmed Spider-Man 2 for the PlayStation 5, it's pretty clear that a true follow-up to the 2018 PlayStation-exclusive title is all but guaranteed. However, so far, there's been little information about the expected title. At least, not until the Art Director for Marvel's Spider-Man updated his Linkedin profile. Is Insomniac Games Working a New Marvel's Spider-Man Game? After Miles Morales starred in the 2020 sequel, the next title could end up letting players take control either one of the two.

Following the success of the short but well-received Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, fans are expecting an announcement that they're working on a new Marvel's Spider-Man game next. However, as we've already mentioned, Insomniac Games, who are best known for making first-party Sony titles like the Ratchet & Clank series and Marvel's Spider-Man, have yet to confirm that they've begun development in the game.

But, as has been the case in recent years, eagle-eyed fans are quick to notice signs that might potentially point towards such titles being in the works.

Over at his profile, Jason Hickey has updated his "About" portion to include that he's currently working on an "unannounced project" at Insomniac Games. He didn't add anything else outside of confirming that he's working on something new for Insomniac. However, his past work with California-based video game developers suggests that he's working on Spider-Man 2.

As the Lead Environment Artist for the first Spider-Man game, it only makes sense that Hickey returns to work on the sequel.
