Unveiled on November 9, the trailer unfolds with the beloved protagonist, Riley, immersed in the joy of her family life. However, this idyllic phase takes an unexpected turn when Riley reaches the tender age of 13. Her emotions, basic until this moment with Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear, are about to get complicated.
The teaser sets the stage for what promises to be a compelling exploration of emotions in the much-anticipated sequel, Inside Out 2. Fans are introduced to the unfolding story when, post her birthday, a demolition crew unexpectedly infiltrates headquarters, leaving Riley's emotions in a state of bewilderment.
When the crew clears out, Riley's emotions find out their ranks have expanded and they have gained a new member – Anxiety.
Upon introducing herself to the other emotions, she remarks, "We wanted to make a good impression," hinting that additional emotions are on the horizon. Anxiety's words echo suspicions raised by Inside Out 2's latest poster. Aside from the familiar five emotions, the poster showcases four new ones seemingly emerging from what appears to be Riley's subconscious.
