Warzone 2 is finally here. Or, at least, it's coming.
Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward delivered a full frontal attack at Call of Duty Next, as it dropped multiple info bombs about all of the upcoming Call of Duty games. Although the main highlight is easily Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, many fans want to see Warzone 2.0 in action.
The publisher confirmed the sequel to the hit free-to-play battle royale shooter from 2020 earlier this year and this will be the first time we'll see a trailer of the game. It was featured prominently alongside Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer. The best way to describe both is "over-the-top action".
The Smash Pumpkins' "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" was the perfect backdrop music for all of the mayhem that's going on in the trailer. Specifically, the Warzone 2 side of things sees a soldier jump out of a plane and head straight into the thick of things. We're then given a glimpse of jeeps, helicopters, and boats, all being available for players to ride on and use to wage vehicular warfare against each other. But, don't worry. The trailer assured fans there'll be plenty of ways to counter vehicles in Warzone 2, giving audiences access to everything from an EMP knife to an explosive drone, among others.
