Every year, the launch of latest Call of Duty game is usually fairly rocky, due in part to a steady stream of thousands, if not millions, of players trying to log in to their favorite game and start the grind. Many players experience logging-in issues and crashes.
As expected, the same happened with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. PC players have been experiencing constant crashes in their game, down to the point where it is barely playable.
Every time players crash, they are presented with the infamous 'Scan and Repair' error that many others have also experienced in Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard. That's right, the 'Scan and Repair' error is back to haunt CoD players.
Unlike our previous "universal" solution that fixes most Battle.net games' 'Scan and Repair' errors, Modern Warfare 2 has a slightly different solution.
You may also try our previous solution, if you're a Battle.net player. However, players on Steam are also experiencing the issue and may be unable to fix it with the Battle.net-exclusive solution. But we do not recommend going for the old solution unless you've tried the one given below.
